EVENTS & GIGS
If you're looking for an affordable entertainment option for your next event, you're in the right place. This is my "solo" offering. I perform a wide variety of music from chilled background music to uptempo music to get the party started. Below is a selection of the kinds of music I perform. My repertoire is extensive but I don't really cover 'Rock' or harder styles of music. They can however be played in my breaks if needed.
Below is a selection of examples of some of my repertoire I might play at your event. It's my job to read the crowd and situation though, and do my best to play what 'works'

If you're looking for any kind of saxophone work on your next project, let me put something down for you. I am 'ready to go' with Logic Pro X. I play Alto, Tenor and Soprano saxes. Solo parts, textures, growling tenor or sweet soprano, I've got you covered.
I can also arrange and record a kick-ass horn section with trumpet and trombone added.

Brendan began learning music as a young boy and by the age of 13 he was performing for small audiences.
Age 17 - wrote and recorded two signature songs for Radio Algoa.
Won the prize for "best talent" at the 'On The Go Show'.
1992 - joined the South African Air force band and began studying light music part time at the Pretoria Technicon.
1995 - attended Berklee College of music in Boston U.S.A
Completed the Berklee performance program - was awarded a scholarship.
Began working with a local jazz band Light Years (SA).
1998 played at Commonwealth games in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) with the Vusi Khumalo band.
2000 - joined Johnny Clegg's band (Savuka) playing sax, backing vocals and keyboards.
Enjoyed extensive travels to all corners of the globe, playing prestigious events, sharing the stage with well-respected artists and performed for large audiences.
With Clegg - headlined the opening of the Montreal Jazz festival main stage for a live audience of 125 000 people. Other highlights (with Clegg) include playing at the 46664 HIV/AIDS awareness concerts in Tromso (Norway) and George (South Africa), Nelson Mandela's 80th birthday, performing with Peter Gabriel, Brian May (Queen), Annie Lennox and the Corrs to mention a few.
2006 - set up a home recording studio.
Wrote, recorded and produced channel logo music for SABC Africa.
2007- formed a joint venture and Co-wrote, recorded and produced SABC 3 Theme music with business partner Concord Nkabinde, as well as many other television series
Performed live and recorded multiple television and DVD performances with top artists from South Africa.

2010 - released his first solo record to great critical acclaim, featured top SA musicians.
2019 - began Youtube channel making saxophone music
